Sefer Issur Veheiter. Prague, 1784. Ownership notations from the period.

Issur Veheiter (the long one), an important halachic work from the Rishonim period dealing with Hilchot Issur and Heiter, authored by Rabbi Yonah benRabbi Yisroel of Regensburg – a disciple of the author of Tetrumat Hadeshen.

An ownership notation on the title page: ר’ משה מחלמיץ ?’ and additional ownership notations and stamps including of Yaakov Shimon Chorovsky.

The Prague, 1784 edition was the first to attribute the book to Rabbeinu Yonah Gerondi since in the first edition it was written: "הגאון מהר"ר יונה". Thus, in this edition, it was written: "אומרים כי הוא הגאון השלם מורינו ורבינו מוהר"ר יונה גירונדי".

In later editions, it was written that its author was Rabbeinu Yonah Gerondi. Later, it was discovered that its true author was Rabbeinu Yonah ben Rabbi Yisroel of regensburg, who was the disciple of Rabbi Yisroel Isserlin, the author of Terumat Hadeshen.
