Manuscript of innovations about the laws of a young boy joining a Minyan and the release of a slave for praying in a Minyan, "By The Gaon … Zerach Eidlitz". .

[2] leaves, 21 cm. Dense handwriting. Has not been printed.

The Gaon Rabbi [Avraham Moshe] Zerach ben Rabbi Meir Eidlitz (1725-1786). One of the greatest Rabbis and preachers of Prague. A leading disciple of Rabbi Yonoson Eybeschütz  author of "Urim VeTumim" and a member of the Beis Din of the "Noda BeYehuda". Author of Derashot "Or Layesharim", "Melechet Machshevet" , "Chidushei Rabbi Zerach Eidlitz al Masechet Beitza" and more. In the approbation to his sefer "Or Layesharim", the Noda BeYehuda wrote that "כי בודאי הקורא בדרושים הללו יתן אל לבו יראת בוראו, ויתגבר כארי לשוב בתשובה שלימה" ("certainly he who reads these Drushim will lay fear of G-d upon his heart and will become stronger like a lion to wholly repent") and notes that Rabbi Zerach taught Torah with discernment and intellect and established many disciples. One of his disciples was Rabbi Yehoshua Folk of Lisa, author of ‘Binyan Yehoshua’ on Tractate Avot DeRabbi Natan. Rabbi Zerach’s innovations on the Shas remained in manuscript form and many of them were lost. In 1960, his innovations on Tractate Beitza were printed in Jerusalem while the rest of his remaining innovations, like the composition before us, are still manuscripts.
