A letter on matters of charity and supporting Torah and Chesed, with rare blessings from Maran the holy Rebbe, Leader of the Diaspora, the Imrei Emes of Ger. ‘May Hashem help and he will be tranquil and carefree in the Holy Land’. No date.


A letter spanning an entire sheet, all in his holy handwriting and with the pure signature of Maran the holy Imrei Emes of Ger, Leader of the Diaspora, and one of the greatest Tzaddikim of Chasidism between the world wars.
The letter deals with matters of charity and sending money to the Holy Land, to the Sfas Emes Yeshiva and to the needy. It was sent to his brother Rabbi Chaim Elazar Alter, the son of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Pabianitz, the youngest son of the Rabbe the Sfas Emes of Ger.

In the letter, issues concerning financial matters for charity, sending of ‘Wexlin’ – promissory notes sold in order to support the Sfas Emes Yeshiva in Jerusalem, of which Rabbi Chaim Elazar Alter was one of the directors.

Later, the Rebbe writes his blessing: ‘May Hashem help and he will be tranquil and carefree in the Holy Land.’ Apparently, the letter was sent in the year 1929 or 1936, during the rebellion and the great attacks that the Arabs conducted, with wild ferocity against the Jews.
