Sefer Noda BiYehuda, first edition, Prague 1776. Personal copy of the elder of the Tzaddikim of his generation, Rabbi Yisrael of Husiatyn, with glosses in his own holy handwriting, and glosses by his son-in-law, the holy Rebbe the Oholei Yaakov of Husiatyn – Bohush.

Several glosses in the holy handwriting of the Rebbe of Husiatyn, other glosses in print-style letters, in the holy handwriting of his successor, the Rebbe Rabbi Yaakov of Bohush – the Oholei Yaakov of Husiatyn. It is rare to find glosses handwritten by both of these Tzaddikim of the Ruzhyn dynasty, who were both known for their nobility and humbleness.

On the title page, the holy seal of the elder of the generation’s Tzaddikim, the grandson of the Crown of Israel of Ruzhyn.

Additionally, the title page contains a stamp in Latin script letters "Israel Brückenstein"

The holy Rebbe Rabbi Yisrael of Husiatyn, elder of the generation’s Tzaddikim (1858 – 1949). The pillar of prayer of Israel, described by the holy Rebbe Rabbi Aharon of Belz as “Tzaddik Yesod Olam” (a foundation of the world), and “The Rebbe.” All Tzaddikim of that generation revered him as “holy of holies.” Known especially for the war he waged with the Forces of the Opposition during WWII. Extremely known for his prayers and his awe-inspiring work when the Nazis under General Rommel began approaching Eretz Yisrael and were standing at El-Alamein. His image as a holy and pure Tzaddik, miracle-worker and pillar of prayer remains to this generation.

The holy Rebbe Rabbi Yaakov of Husiatyn (1877-1957), the “Oholei Yaakov”’ son of Rabbi Yitzchak of Bohush and successor of his father-in-law, the holy Rebbe of Husiatyn, was one of the major supporters of the pure and holy emigration to the Holy Land, and established a society for this purpose. Was extremely versed in Sha”s and Halacha and in the ways of Chassidut. Many drew from his well and from his clear wisdom.

Adhesive tape restoration on the title page. Original binding from the bindings of the Rebbe of Husiatyn. Good – very good condition.
