Interesting letter handwritten and signed by Rabbi Avraham Elimelech of Karlin, written during a vacation.

In the letter, the Rav writes that he is writing shortly due to the conditions of the Datshe (Dacha) – the summer retreat and because he does not have what is needed for writing. He asks the Chassid Reb A.B. Ekerman, the addressee, to do everything possible for Reb Chaim Yitzchak from Eretz Hakodesh. He also notes that because he is sure what he asks will be taken care of, he writes shortly.

The letter is handwritten and signed by Rabbi Avraham Elimelech of Karlin.

Rabbi Avraham Elimelech of Karlin [1891-1942] the son of Rabbi Yisroel [The Yanuka] and his successor in Pinsk. The Tzaddikim of the generation appreciated and revered him. Headed important yeshivas. Visited Eretz Hakodesh four times and during his last visit, explicitly predicted an upcoming disaster for European Jewry. However, he refused to remain in Eretz Yisroel, returning to support his Chassidim. Was killed on Kiddush Hashem in Cheshvan 1942.
