Azharot by the Gaon Rabbeinu Yitzchak Bar Reuven [Albergaloni], which were read in all Western cities. Yisroel [Bak] Press. Jerusalem, [1842]. Rare. 

[22] leaves. 14 cm. Notations on verso of the title page, "Rabbi Rachamim Malul" and more. [5] pages are missing with tribute to rabbis and philanthropists including Sir Moses Montefiore and the author’s introduction. In their places, added in Sephardic script is the beginning of a Piyyut in honor of Rabbi Yehuda Zabali, copy of a letter and Segula for an easy birth. With a signature on the title page. 

The printer, Rabbi Yisroel Bak, immigrated to Safed from Berditchev (Ukraine) in 1832 and founded a Hebrew printery. Two years later, the printery was destroyed and rebuilt, only to be destroyed again in the earthquake of 1837 that destroyed most of the city. Subsequently, Rabbi Yisroel Bak moved to Jerusalem and in 1841, established its first Hebrew printery, with the help of Sir Moses Montefiore, who donated the printing press that was known as Masset Moshe Veyehudit (the gift of Moses and Judith).
