Kuntres Or Bahir by the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Glasner Av Beis Din of Klausenburg – Siget, 1908 – first edition – the personal copy of the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich, Av Beis Din of Shamloy – with his handwritten signature and glosses criticizing the content of the Kuntres

Bound with Sefer Toldot Yitzchak on the Torah by the Tzaddik Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Av Beis Din of Svalive – Munkatch, 1903 – single edition

"קונטרוס אור בהיר, המפיץ אור בהיר על עניני זחילה ומעמיד בדבר המקבל טומאה ויתר הדינים המסתעפים מזה".

The Kuntres was published following criticism of a new Mikveh whose building was initiated by Rabbi Glasner. In this Kuntres, Rabbi Glasner explains his doctrine regarding the Mikveh at length, introducing his sources and responding to all the critics.

On the title page of the Kuntres, the Tzaddik Gaon of Shamloy wrote and signed: "ה"ה חנני השי"ת בזה הספר הק’ שלמה זלמן עהרנרייך אב"ד פה".

Printed at the beginning of the Kuntres is a letter by the author to one of the rabbis who claimed that it is irrelevant to disagree with the Divrei Chaim of Sanz since all his Psakim are based on Ruach HaKodesh and the Kabbalah. The author responds by proving that Ruach HaKodesh and knowledge of Kabbalah are not tools for determining Piskei Halachot.

This Kuntres contains several glosses and comments handwritten by the Tzaddik Gaon of Shamloy disagreeing with the author. In the letter printed at the beginning of the Kuntres, the Tzaddik Gaon of Shamlot writes sharply: "רחמנא ליצלן מהאי דעתא… ".

On the page following the title page, the Tzaddik Gaon of Shamloy writes some general things about the importance of a Mikveh of Mayim Chaim and the Ruach HaKodesh of Tzaddikim. Among others, he writes:  "ועיי’ בח"צ סי’ ע"ו שכ’ הגאון ר’ נפתלי כ"ץ ז"ל על זקינו המהר"ל מפראג ז"ל, וז"ל: אשר שימש ברוח הקודש כמפורסם אשר בוודאי לא יצאה תקלה מתח"י בפרט בעניני אכילה עכ"ל". He also introduces a tradition in the name of one of Baalei HaTosafot who said about the Rif that one cannot write a work like his "זולתי שהשכינה הי’ שורה עליו".

The author, Rabbi Glasner, was a Gaon and a descendant of the Chasam Sofer; nevertheless, he was not accepted by most of the rabbis of Hungary because of his famed Zionist opinions and his being one of the leaders of HaMizrachi. Thus, someone scribbled on the title page and additional leaves of the Kuntres offensive and swear words and (the script indicates he was a quick-tempered boy or youth).

On the title page of Sefer Toldot Yitzchak which is bound with the Kuntres, a signature of Chaim Ehrenreich.
