Handwritten invitation signed by the holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Chrotkov for the wedding of his daughter and his son-in-law the holy Rav Rabbi Zvi Aryeh of Zlotopoli. 


The invitation was handwritten by his son the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Chaim Aharon of Chortkov who passed away in his father’s lifetime. Sent to Rabbi Ze’ev Borstein, inviting him to the wedding of his daughter Mrs. Chava and the dear bridegroom Zvi Shalita the son of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Mordechai the son of the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Mordechai of Zlotopoli. 

The holy Rav of Chortkov writes the following blessing: 

‘I pray to Hashem that from this happy event and G-d’s abundance on him and on all our brothers Beis Yisroel … may we merit seeing all the best meant and hoped for Beis Yisroel …’

The holy Rav Tiferes Yisroel of Chortkov hand-signed the invitation. In addition, he added twice the words  ‘בשטו"מ’ – בשעה טובה ומוצלחת.

  

The holy Rav Rabbi Yisroel of Chortkov [1854-1934] the son of Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov and the son-in-law of his uncle the holy Rav Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura. His mother was the daughter of the holy Rav Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl. Thousands came to his court, headed by leading rabbis, Poskim and Geonim. Was one of the founders of the worldwide Agudas Yisroel, which he saw as a way to raise the horn of the Torah and Jewry everywhere and bring Yisroel closer to their Father in Heaven. Was president of Mo’etzes Gedolei HaTorah.
